GENERAL TRAVEL INFORMATION

LOCATION
Chanquillo is North of Lima, in the coastal area near by Casma in the Department of Ancash.

ALTITUDE
Chanquillo is at 140 meter above sea level.

CLIMATE
Is warm and dry, most of the year. In Summer (January to March) is very hot. Its year temperature goes in between 13º minimum and 31º as maximum.

ACCESS / APPROACH
By Land:
The North Pan-American Highway permits the access to Chanquillo, through a side dirt road that goes to the Fortress, near by Casma. The trip on bus takes aprox. 5 hours.
